This piece looks beatiful from a distance, but on closeup, the workmanship, specially the painting is shabby. It is considerably a heavy barrette and will not hold tight if you have thin hair.
I haven't bought this barrette yet but I'm considering buying it - hence the three stars - despite the previous review. It looks simple and pretty, as though I can wear it with a nice blouse and jeans, which is what I like. The price is a little high but not ridiculously high for a hair accessory.
